ABOUT EIFS

EIFS is a non-load-bearing cladding system that provides buildings with exterior insulation, moisture resistance, and a seamless, attractive finish — all in one integrated system. Widely used across North America since the 1960s, EIFS is especially popular for both masonry and wood-framed structures.

In Europe, similar systems are known as ETICS or EWIS. While early EIFS installations sometimes faced moisture issues, modern systems now include built-in drainage layers that safely direct water away from the wall, preventing damage and ensuring long-term performance.
